I gave in. I now have a Pinterest account.

Today I’m going on a long run to ensure I will be able to run the Atlanta Half Marathon on Thanksgiving.
In honor of this run, here are a few images from my crack “Inspiration” board on Pinterest.
“There are some things you should know about me.
My sweat is clear and my blood is red.
My feet are tired and my knees are weak.
My thighs are burning and my abs are hurting.
Right now my heart feels like it will burst.
But let me be abundantly clear.
When I’m finished my body will be unforgettable.”
***
I will rock this run today.
What inspires you?
Do you Pinterest? I’d love to see your boards!

You know I love Pinterest! Love all of these…especially the very last one (a quote?).
I find my inspiration everywhere – especially when I see someone else working hard at the gym. That always makes me smile and get my act together.
Gillian says
I just got into Pinterest too! So awesome and addictive, totally making a workout board inspired by this post!
Alayna @ Thyme Bombe says
I pin WAY too much. Adding you!
Lee says
I have that 100 workout pinned too. Maybe I should actually do it!
Laura says
You should! It’s a good one.
Kris says
I’ve been on pinterest for a while, but… still haven’t done much with it. I figure one day when I really look around I’ll get addicted too.
I LOVE these – they are all great. “I don’t have time to figure out if I can go for a run, I’m just going” I LOVE that – it was on my office wall for a while.
Laura says
Be careful… once you do get into it, it’s pretty tragic. 🙂
I love it for recipe idea organization.
Sylvia says
I love everything about this post, including that you did that 100 workout! (Kick Ass!!!) I can’t decide if the “I’m making myself EPIC” or the lunch sign is my favorite here.
Hannah says
I’m still holding out! I’m having a hard time coping with managing everything in my life right now already; I really think giving into Pinterest will only create problems 😛 Love seeing what others find though!
Also, I can’t do that 100 workout because I don’t know what half those moves are. 😛
Laura says
You’re a smart girl. 🙂 If you want to know to moves, shoot me an email and I’ll walk you through it!!
Allie says
Pinterest is sooo addicting, love it! Hope your long run goes well 🙂
Hayley @ Oat Couture says
Love it! This post has inspired me!!! And that is no mean feat considering I have a hangover that could slay a walrus! Ha! Hope the run went really well! 🙂
Jen says
I wish I could get addicted to running. I typically only run if someone is chasing me. Lol. I used to love working out and lost my fire. Need to find it again. Very soon.
Laura says
HA! That used to be my line. I don’t know what happened to make me start, but now I’m addicted to the feeling I get after a good run.
Jenn @ Peas and Crayons says
bahhh sorry on the delay in getting back to you! Pretty sure i’m failing at life at the moment – but I’m glad you’re pinning it up! <3 its amazing right? =)

Allison @ PickyEatingRD says
I am absolutely addicted to Pinterest as well! Whenever I try to explain it to someone who isn’t on yet I always make it sound so silly. Once they finally join though, they realize the addiction!
Laura says
I had that experience Saturday night! They were looking at me like I was nuts while I was giving my explanation.
Grubarazzi (@Grubarazzi) says
I don’t think i can start pinterest…I won’t stop! I can’t fit in another thing to click on and get addicted to. I won’t have time to run! LOL.
sportsglutton says
I’m a few days late, but hope the run went well. Cheers!
Electra @ Vanilla Bean Lean says
I LOVE LOVE LOVE pinterest and I love that you’re addicted too hah. Did you just sign in with your twitter/fb account or did you request an invite to join pinterest?
Laura says
I requested an invite. I didn’t realize the other was an option!
Paige says
Ha! That first quote sums it up;) Just one more time!!
Christin@purplebirdblog says
I love the sound of the 100 workout!! Totally saved the image so I can do it sometime this week! 🙂
Martyna@WholesomeCook says
I’ve given in recently too… Love the inspirational quotes, ocean swim training has started and I’m in a lot of psychoological distress. But quitting is not an option now. There’s an Australian fitness clothes brand Lorna Jane that produces inspirational singlets – Dream, never ever give up. I wish they did swimwear,
Laura says
ocean swim training?! there is not enough pinterest inspiration in the world for me… LOL! GOOD LUCK!
Carol @ Lucky Zucca says

Hi Laura! Been trying to catch up on some blog reading this evening….loved this post! I would have to say that I’ve never short on inspiration when I have all these blogs (like yours) to read and motivate me to get my butt moving! I managed 53 miles in 16 days on the cruise! Not an easy feat while on a treadmill crossing the Atlantic!
xoxo from Trinidad
Laura says
That’s no small feat on a cruise ship! I tried that and nearly broke my neck. Way to go!
