Quick post today because I have to get some work done before heading back HOME!
There have been tons of bloggers sharing tips for eating on the road lately. All I can say is that having food with you is a lifesaver.
I’m running a little late because I had to get a run in this morning. Too many days sitting still in a conference room!
Stats:
- Distance: 3.14 miles
- Time: 25:54
- Pace: 8.13
Not bad!

It is tough eating on the road but you are right.. the best thing to do is pack some stuff you like 🙂
Glad you were able to get a run in!

I always make sure I have snacks.. even if I am going shopping. I’d rather munch on something of my own.. then say.. get a pretzel at the mall. Because a hungry shopper.. is an angry shopper 😉

I take mall snacks too! Thought I was the only one. 🙂

Fruit, Larabars, and a PB sandwich are my usual “on the road” staples.
Laura says
You take the sandwich pre-made? How do you make sure you don’t squish it? I would have killed for a PB sandwich yesterday. We didn’t get lunch til 3pm!

I totally agree! Having food with you is a must, otherwise you have to resort to what is available!

I always try to have snacks with me if I’m going anywhere for longer than 4 hours. Trail mix (or any form of dried fruit and nuts), fruit, bars, or whatever healthy muffin I may have recently made are generally my on-the-go snacks. Sometimes I’m forced to have breakfast on-the-go, (which I HATE) and will almost always either take a smoothie or a peanut butter banana sandwich.

Not bad on that run is right!
And I have to have a plan with food on the road otherwise travel eating quickly becomes REALLY unhealthy for me. Packing things is essential. I need to start planning out what to bring for next week for Fitbloggin traveling!
