It’s crazy how time flies!
I know only old people say that…
Three years ago yesterday, Vegas and I ran off and got married in Tahoe. We promised to spend every anniversary in the mountains. This year we decided to return to Lake Tahoe!
We love coming up here and snowboarding Northstar. The trails are great, the village is super cute, and there’s a champagne toast on top of the mountain every day at 2 pm. You can’t beat that!
On to the first #WIAW of 2018! Be sure to link up to Jenn’s WIAW baby at the bottom!
Breakfast:
I travel with the ingredients for our morning cocktail. We are seriously addicted!
Vegas and I are not morning people. Therefore, we slept too late and ate Quest bars for breakfast. I did not stop for a pic.
Lunch:
We did stop before going up the slope for breakfast sandwiches. You really can’t beat this #yolkporn.
Dinner:
We love the sushi place in the village at Northstar. They have fun rolls and good drinks. Always a win! This is my roll… we also had edamame and split a bottle of rosé. You know… to refuel. 😉

This first PT after my ACL surgery said I wouldn’t be boarding this season. 5 months later… mwhahaha!
Do you have an anniversary tradition?
Do you like to ski or snowboard?
Patrick@looneyforfood.com says
Happy Anniversary! I have never been snowboarding or skiing but will definitely try it eventually. It look like a great time.
Laura says
Really?! You have to try it out. Just be patient – it takes a few times to get comfortable.

Happy Anniversary! Time really does fly, but it’s so important to take the time to celebrate the good stuff (haha something I need to work on more this year). Looks like a fun, delicious day : )

Right?! I used to think my parents sounded like grannies when they said that. Look at me now… *eye roll*

HAPPY ANNIVERSARY! I can’t believe it has been 3 years. So so so happy for you crazy kids.
Also, love Tahoe. You know this.
Laura says
We spent the whole time in Tahoe trying to figure out how to move to Tahoe!
Susie @ Mile High Dreamers says
Yay! Happy Anniversary! You guys look so happy and beautiful together! Mountain breakfast sammiches are the BEST. Ben and I are total snowboard junkies, but the snow is SO terrible in CO right now. I hope Tahoe is getting a little more than we are!
It looks like you guys had an amazing anniversary!

Thanks! I heard CO is dry. Tahoe was nothing like it was last year… hoping it’ll pick up by February. The east coast is hogging all the snow!
Meghan@CleanEatsFastFeets says
I’d go purely for the champagne toast.
Happy Anniversary Lovelies.

Love your tradition of heading to the mountains for your anniversary, so fun! I was following along on your adventures on Insta. Also, I’m super impressed with how you’ve made it back on the slopes after all you’ve gone through with your knee. You’re bionic my friend! 🙂
Debra Eliotseats says
Congrats! You guys look great!
Our anniversary tradition has become spending time with family (since we got married close to Christmas we always have a houseful when the date rolls around). 🙂
Happy New Year!
(As for skiing or snowboarding, I’m afraid I would break a hip!) ha!

Thank you!!! I love having a holiday anniversary – it’s always so festive!
