You might be a food blogger if…
…You make party-goers wait while your mom holds a burning tray of so you can take a pic of your triple chocolate red velvet birthday cake cupcakes.
…You get unnaturally excited that you got an action shot photo of the Souper Jenny employee adding bacon whipped cream to the tomato tarts. Yes, it was as fantastic as it sounds.
…Your new favorite band is a the hodge podge of chefs that jammed out after all of the food was eaten at the Attack of the Killer Tomato Festival. Chef Ford Fry can rock a festival and a guitar, yo.
…The only thing that is more exciting than tomatoes prepared 50 different ways on a Sunday is getting to hold your best friend’s beautiful new 6 lb 11oz and 19.25 inch baby. Welcome to the world, Jackson Gregory.

Thank you all so much for the birthday wishes! The birthday weekend was incredible – I wish you all could have been there too!
Do many of your friends have children?
Do you like to take them on outings and spoil them? I can’t wait! 🙂
Aww he’s adorable! Congrats to your best friend! And my oh my – it’s 9am and I could definitely go for one of those cupcakes right now!
Glad to hear that your birthday weekend went well. Congrats to your friend!! 🙂
Oh that first one about making everyone in your family wait so you can take a picture rings SO true for me!!! My family is getting used to it though…my dad even called me over to the grill on a few occasions when we were last together to ask if I “needed a picture of this for the blog.” 🙂
Only one of my close friends from college has a baby…it’s weird and yet surprisingly normal at the same time to see her with an adorable little girl. I am pressuring my brother and sister-in-law to have a baby because I want to be an aunt! Then I can REALLY start spoiling…
Your birthday weekend looks like it was a blast! Yay!
And not too many of my friends have kids. Only one of my good friends from HS does and I love spoiling her son!
Us bloggers. We’re a weird breed, huh? 🙂
AWWWW cute baby! I kind of miss B being that small. But then not really when I think of the numerous wake up calls I had then. LOL
Bloggers ARE totally strange and it is fun hahah. The things we do to get cool pictures 😉
Jackson. is. so. cute.
Jackson is lovely! Lots of my friends have kids. But I also found that friendships change a bit once kids are in the mix. This isn’t a bad thing; it’s only natural, seeing as how children are the ultimate lifestyle change. I didn’t see my friends’ kids as much as I thought I would.
awww congrats to your bestie! baby jackson is adorable!!! and killer tomato festival?! ohmygoshhhh! happy belated bday gorgeous!
Awww he’s so cute!! A lot of my friends have children, but most of them are back where I grew up so I never get to see them. I definitely would spoilt them, though!!
haha- you know you’re a blogger when you can’t decide between two beers at a restaurant, so you choose the one with the cooler label for the blog photo. True story…
I feel all melty when I get to hold a newborn- they feel like a different species or something when they are that new!
Cheers!
Meri
You and the baby both look adorable in that photo!
What an adorable photo of the baby! I would have made the party-goers wait, too 🙂
Omg your best friend’s baby is the cutest thing ever! My boyfriend’s sister just had her first girl a month ago so we are all crazy over her 🙂
Ha, my wife has started telling guests they’ll have to wait for the photos to be taken. Great candles!
Ahh he’s gorgeous! Sooo teeny! 🙂 Glad you had a great birthday weekend luv! Oh, and seeing as I ticked yes to all the boxes looks like I am definitely a bonafide food blogger! What in the world has happened to me?! haha! 🙂
Hi Jackson Gregory! And I can completely relate to the picture-taking scenario!
I love this! ANd I agree! Holding a new born baby is the best 🙂
So much fun here! What a beautiful baby! And no, none of my friends have babies yet! They’re mostly not married yet either.
Oh the baby is so adorable and I agree those are great candles!!
Those candles are awesome! Red velvet is totally my favorite cake so I’m really wishing I could have one of those. I’m glad you had a great birthday weekend. It sounded fabulous. That pic of you and little Jackson is way adorable 🙂
I’m 21, so anyone I know that has children does not have them intentionally 🙂 I can’t wait until my friends start having babies!!
We food bloggers are a pretty unique group, but I love it 🙂 Those candles are so fun, perfect for the tasty looking cupcakes!
I am 21 so no kids for me yet, but before I am 30 hopefully!
Happy Belated Birthday!! Wait – 84 push-ups!!! Not in a row…?! 🙂
Noooo… in three sets: https://www.sprint2thetable.com/2011/05/push-ups-socca-pizza
What a beautiful baby! Precious! Some of my friends have kids, but I usually avoid them when possible. I can handle a couple kids, but I’m not a fan of when we all get together and make the place look like a zoo. It’s too much for me! haha
Bacon whipped cream? Omg I’m madly in love!!!
three things:
(1) bacon whipped cream?!?!
(2) 84 push-ups?!?
(3) i TOTALLY feel you with getting back on track – things have just been so crazy, i am honestly looking forward to getting some down time to chill. i mean, that’s not going to happen until september, but i can still look forward to it, no?
1) It is as good as it sounds!
2) You can do it too! https://www.sprint2thetable.com/2011/05/push-ups-socca-pizza
3) I’m looking at September too. *sigh*
